We've taken several steps to assure women in our community have access to premier expertise and the most advanced technology in breast health services.
Mammography is available at MMC-BD Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Screening mammograms are also sometimes available on Saturdays from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

MMC-BD was the first in Dodge County to offer Tomosynthesis, the latest in breast health diagnostics.
MMC-BD was the first hospital in the region to offer Digital Mammography for immediate image availability and greater patient comfort. Digital Mammography uses computers and specially designed digital detectors to produce an image that can be displayed on a high-resolution computer monitor in a matter of seconds.
The MMC-BD Breast Health Program features the Stereotactic Breast Biopsy system, completing its comprehensive continuum of breast health services, which include digital mammography and the Mammotome® Breast Biopsy System. Stereotactic breast biopsy is designed to minimize patient discomfort and maximize accuracy.
Our collaboration with Milwaukee Radiologists provides immediate access to breast radiologists who specialize in breast cancer diagnosis, eliminating unnecessary callbacks and improving detection rates.
Our Advanced Clinical Team of specially trained Breast Health Nurses use their experience to create a personalized plan for every one of their patients and offer the highest level of clinical follow-up, treatment and support.
Our experienced, board-certified surgeons work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and breast health nurses to diagnose and treat many breast cancers. They are skilled in the most up-to-date techniques and are experienced in using the best procedure for each patient, keeping your health and safety their top priority.
Social Services are available to assist patients and their families with psychosocial issues of cancer – its impact on family and adjustment to diagnosis and treatment. They also deal with financial concerns, such as drug assistance and disability.
In a private setting, patients may try on wigs, hats, turbans and scarves. The items can be taken home the same day, free of charge.
The MMC-BD Oncology Department offers a wide variety of educational materials on cancer and other disease types and treatments.
The MMC-BD breast health educators have completed certified mastectomy fitter training and will fit patients with prosthesis and bras in a personal and professional manner.
Certified lymphedema therapists provide early education for risk reduction and/or management of tissue swelling following surgery or other treatments.
