His responsibilities include physician relations, the BDCH Medical Clinics’ primary and specialty clinics, quality, contracted physician services and case management.
“Dr. Smith has the outstanding education, skills and experience we hoped for in the person assuming responsibility for this position, and he will play a key role in helping us shape BDCH, the BDCH Medical Clinics and regional health care strategy for decades to come,” said BDCH President and CEO Kim Miller, FACHE.
Most recently, Dr. Smith was the Medical Director at Mitchell Convalescent Center and Chief of Medical Staff at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla, Ga.
Dr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Mercer University in Macon, Ga., and graduated with honors from the Medical College of Georgia in 1999. He is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and has a Master of Business Administration degree.
