Angelia Foster Named New MMC-BD Chief Administrative Officer

Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam (MMC-BD) is pleased to announce that Angelia Foster has accepted the position of chief administrative officer effective March 2.

Foster has more than eight years of health care leadership experience, including her current role as executive vice president/chief administrative officer at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio. Since 2017, she has been responsible for perioperative services, radiation oncology services, human resources, facilities, environment of care, life safety, emergency management and counseling/wellness. Prior to her time in Bryan, Angelia worked for Memorial Health System in Jacksonville, Ill. as the affiliate vice president of Human Resources and Support Services.https://bdch.com/sites/bdch.com/assets/images/news/Foster-Angelia-2020-for-web.jpg

Angelia received her master’s in management and organizational behavior from Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. and bachelor’s in political science and communications from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio.

“It is an exciting time to join Marshfield Clinic Health System and the Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam team as they continue their innovative work with rural health care,” Foster said. “I look forward to collaborating with community stakeholders and our dedicated staff to ensure residents in Dodge County and beyond have access to the highest quality health care possible.”

Foster will partner with interim CAO Joe Gilene as she transitions into the CAO role. Gilene joined MMC-BD in March 2019 and guided the organization through its affiliation with Marshfield Clinic Health System, which was finalized in May, and during the ensuing integration process. Gilene’s demonstrated history of enhancing strong integrated systems and achieving excellent operational and financial results has proven valuable to the organization over the past 11 months, and he was recently named a “Rural Hospital CEO to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam and treasure the connections that have been made within the organization and throughout the community,” Gilene said. “The enthusiasm of the MMC-BD staff to embrace change in the name of improved health care outcomes has been inspiring. Dodge County is in great hands with Angelia and the dedicated MMC-BD team.”

Angelia will be moving to the Beaver Dam community with her husband, David. They have five children and two grandchildren.
