There is a national shortage of some of the supplies and equipment needed to protect the health care workforce and allow them to continue to serve patients during the COVID-19 outbreak. We are asking local businesses, schools and other organizations that may have these needed supplies to please consider donating the following personal protective equipment (PPE) items to Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam:
• Masks
• Gloves
• Gowns
• Face shields
• Goggles
If you know of a business or organization that is able to donate any of the above in any quantity, please call 920-887-4066 or email jkaufmann@bdch.org. Thank you for working together to protect our communities.
Today, you are at staying home to protect the people that matter most to you. These people could be battling cancer, sick and injured kids, elderly or facing financial hardship. While the best thing you can do is to social distance, the best thing we can do is serve those patients and families. Our doctors, nurses and staff are working tirelessly to protect and care for those you love most. They will, and are, caring for the most critical patients affected by COVID-19. Help them feel supported. Help them feel appreciated.
Help us care for our caregivers by making a donation to the BDCH Foundation's Employees Helping Employees Fund. (Be sure to select 'Employees Helping Employees' from the GL Code dropdown menu.)
DONATE TO EMPLOYEES HELPING EMPLOYEES
When you donate to Employees Helping Employees during this time, you provide meals, comfort items, resources and other support for employees at Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam during this time of need. A donation of $10 can provide a coffee gift card for a nurse looking for energy during these long hours. $50 could provide breakfast to a nursing team in the Intensive Care Unit who spent all night in the hospital. Every gift adds up to let our health care providers and staff know that you are there for them, as they are here for you.
Other Employee Donations
Those wishing to donate gift cards, boxed or sealed coffee and food items, etc., can call 920-887-4066 or email jkaufmann@bdch.org to arrange drop-off/pickup.
Can you sew? Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam is collecting donations of sewn face masks to alleviate the national shortage during the COVID-19 outbreak.
If you or someone you know is able, please consider sewing face masks for patients at MMC-BD. Sewn masks will help alleviate the shortage and will be distributed to patients to help provide a protective barrier, so that medical-grade N95 masks may be conserved for our health care providers.
If you have masks to donate, you can drop them off in receptacles located by our flag poles near our main entrance or at Entrance A of our Warren Street building.
Instructions to sew masks can be found here. Use clean fabric only. If you have extra elastic, please consider donating that as well if you are unable to sew masks yourself. Please share this need with your family and friends!
If you have questions, call 920-887-5988 or email dmoritz@bdch.org.
