Studer Group®, a Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based outcomes firm, presented Excellence in Patient Care awards to 47 organizations from around the country during its 9th annual What’s Right in Health Care® conference, held Oct. 19 to 21 in Chicago.
BDCH was honored for the high standards of patient care delivered by its Emergency Department. BDCH’s Outpatient Services Department, which provides cancer care and infusion services, was also recognized with an Excellence in Patient Care award, presented by Studer Group® founder Quint Studer.
“This honor is a reflection of Beaver Dam Community Hospitals’ mission of delivering excellence across a continuum of services,” BDCH CEO Kim Miller said. “We are driven to implement the latest in leading technology staffed by advanced clinicians in order to offer patients in our region the type of high-level patient care that is recognized by Studer Group®. Our state-of-the art technology and facilities would mean little without our commitment to the caring and compassionate service of our patients, which is highlighted by these awards."
To be eligible for an award, an organization must demonstrate outstanding performance in patient care. Recipients were nominated by Studer Group coaches. Winners were selected by a panel of senior leaders based on achievement, improvement and overall outstanding performance.
BDCH was the only Wisconsin hospital honored with an Excellence in Patient Care award.
“Nothing matters more than providing outstanding patient care,” Quint Studer said. “Whatever changes may reshape our industry in the future, it’s the one factor that will hold constant. All the award winners have demonstrated their deep commitment to the well-being of their patients. I am proud to work with organizations that are making such a difference.”
